2025年2月11日,美国国家工程院 (NAE) 主席约翰 · 安德森宣布,美国国家工程院为2025届选举了128名新院士和22名国际院士,入选名单的成员来自商界、学界和政界等多个领域。本次增选后,美国工程院院士总数达到2487人,国际院士人数达到336人。

值得关注的是,2025年共有18位华人学者入选美国工程院院士名单,其中包括YouTube信任与安全工程副总裁曹培,IBM 研发部科技副总裁陈自强,视频会议软件提供商Zoom的创始人兼CEO等人。入选的华裔科学家涵盖人工智能、电力、生物、化学等领域。

资料显示,美国工程院院士是全球工程师最高荣誉之一,入选者至少在以下一个领域中做出杰出贡献:工程实践、研究或教育;开创新兴和发展中的技术领域、在传统工程领域取得重大进展,或开发/实施创新的工程教育方法;领导 过 一项或多项重大工程。
